In literature, Chaldean numerology is also known by related terms such as Babylonian numerology and the Chaldean-Babylonian system. Both terms refer to the same origin—the ancient Chaldeans and Babylonians of Mesopotamia.
Later, Pythagorean numerology emerged. There are major differences between the two. Pythagoras approached numbers through rationality, logic, and sequence. A well-known saying of this Greek philosopher is: “Everything is number.” It is believed that Pythagoras gained much of his knowledge of numbers in Egypt, where he studied the traditions of the Chaldeans and the teachings found there.
Alongside Pythagorean and Chaldean numerology, there are many other numerological systems. Despite their differences, they all share one essential understanding ➡️ Every number carries its own vibration and its own energy.
Pythagorean numerology has its value, but I simply chose Chaldean numerology because it carries a spiritual depth that speaks to me more.

How a numerology reading is calculated
A numerology reading requires the following details:
- your name and surname,
- your day of birth,
- your birth month,
- your birth year.

Each letter in your name and surname is “assigned” a number from 1 to 9. Based on this, each individual letter is marked with its corresponding number, and the numbers are then added together. When it comes to the numerology of your date of birth, it is possible to read the meaning of each individual number—your birth day, birth month, and birth year—as each one offers different information for different areas of life, and the total sum of the full date of birth can also be read. Each number on its own, and the final sum as well, carries a different meaning.
Depending on the purpose of the reading, the numbers are added either to a single digit (1–9) or to a two-digit number (23, 40…). The exceptions are repeated numbers (11, 22, 33…), which are never reduced to a single digit.
